Aura Technologies LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates QuickResume, an AI-powered resume builder available at quickresume.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using QuickResume, you agree to the terms described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
a) Information You Provide Directly
- Account information — name, email address, and password (or Google OAuth credentials) when you create an account.
- Profile and resume data — phone number, LinkedIn URL, work experience, education history, and skills that you enter to build your resume.
- Job descriptions — text you paste or upload so QuickResume can tailor your resume to a specific role.
- Interview stories and outreach contacts — notes, contact information, and preparation material you save within the platform.
- Payment information — billing details collected through Stripe during checkout. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and analytics data — pages visited, features used, session duration, referral source, and similar metrics collected via Google Analytics and our internal analytics system.
- Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 7 for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the QuickResume service.
- Generate AI-tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation materials based on your profile and job descriptions.
- Process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- Authenticate your identity via Firebase Authentication (Google OAuth or email/password).
- Store your user data, generated resumes, job applications, interview stories, outreach contacts, and analytics in Firebase Firestore.
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features, performance, and user experience.
- Communicate with you about service updates, security alerts, and support inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.
3. Third-Party Services
QuickResume integrates with the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes:
a) Firebase (Google Cloud)
We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in (Google OAuth and email/password) and Cloud Firestore for data storage. Your account information and application data are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. See the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation for details.
b) Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments. When you purchase a subscription, Stripe collects and processes your payment information (e.g., credit card number, billing address) in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy. We receive only a limited set of payment details (e.g., last four digits, expiration date, and billing postal code) to display on your account.
c) OpenAI
We send job descriptions and portions of your profile data (such as work experience, skills, and education) to the OpenAI API to generate tailored resume content, cover letters, and other AI-powered outputs. Data sent to OpenAI is governed by the OpenAI Privacy Policy. We use OpenAI’s API with data-retention settings that minimize storage of submitted prompts and outputs on OpenAI’s servers.
d) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device. See the Google Privacy Policy for more information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records). Automatically collected analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymized form and is not linked to your account after deletion.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS). Data stored in Firebase Firestore is encrypted at rest using Google Cloud’s default encryption. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe’s PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
While we implement commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following cases:
- Service providers — with the third-party services described in Section 3 (Firebase, Stripe, OpenAI, Google Analytics) solely to operate the Service.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, in which case you will be notified.
- With your consent — when you explicitly authorize us to share data with a specific third party.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
QuickResume uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your authentication session, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. The types of cookies we use include:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and core functionality.
- Analytics cookies — placed by Google Analytics to measure site usage and performance.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Service.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You can also update your profile directly in the Settings page.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data. You may delete your account from the Settings page, or contact us at privacy@quickresume.app.
- Data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Objection / Restriction — object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.

9. Children’s Privacy
QuickResume is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights:
- Right to know — you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of collection, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete — you may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to opt-out of sale — we do not sell your personal information. However, you have the right to opt out if this practice changes.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

11. International Data Transfers
QuickResume is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of QuickResume after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
