Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to QuickResume (“Service”), operated by Aura Technologies LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service at quickresume.app or any associated sub-domains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aura Technologies LLC. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

QuickResume is an AI-powered resume builder that allows users to paste job descriptions and generate tailored, ATS-optimized resumes. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • AI-generated, role-specific resume content
  • Cover letter generation
  • PDF and DOC export
  • Interview story bank for behavioral preparation
  • Company research panel
  • Application tracking
  • Outreach and networking tools
  • Job search analytics dashboard

The Service leverages third-party artificial intelligence models (including OpenAI) to generate content. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. Authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication (a Google service). When you register, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@quickresume.app if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Payment, Billing & Refunds

QuickResume is a paid subscription service. The following plans are available:

  • Monthly Plan: $9 per month, billed monthly
  • Annual Plan: $3 per month, billed annually at approximately $36 per year

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Aura Technologies LLC to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are subject to change, but we will provide reasonable notice before any price increase takes effect on your next billing cycle.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until your billing period expires.

Refunds: Due to the nature of digital services that include AI-generated content, all charges are generally non-refundable. Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. To request a refund, contact support@quickresume.app within 7 days of the charge.

Failed Payments: If a recurring payment fails, we may attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment cannot be collected, your access to paid features may be suspended or terminated.

5. User Content & Data

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including your resume information, work experience, job descriptions, interview stories, and any other personal data (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant Aura Technologies LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We do not sell your User Content to third parties.

User Content is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of User Content you provide. You must not upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or that infringes on the rights of any third party.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence, including models provided by OpenAI, to generate resume content, cover letters, and other materials (“AI Content”). You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI Content is generated algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI Content before use.
  • Aura Technologies LLC does not guarantee that AI Content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular job application or purpose.
  • AI Content should not be construed as professional career counseling, legal advice, or employment guidance.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying that the information in your resume and cover letter is truthful and accurate before submitting it to any employer.
  • The quality, tone, and relevance of AI Content may vary depending on the inputs you provide and the current capabilities of the underlying AI models.
  • Third-party AI providers may process your inputs in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content (excluding User Content and AI Content), features, functionality, design, source code, trademarks, logos, and branding, is and will remain the exclusive property of Aura Technologies LLC and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial job-seeking purposes. This license does not include the right to:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or service
  • Remove any proprietary notices from the Service

AI Content generated through the Service may be used by you in your job applications and related professional activities. However, you may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI Content in bulk or as a service to third parties.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Generate fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally misleading resume content
  • Impersonate another individual or misrepresent your qualifications
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or to the Service’s underlying systems
  • Scrape, data-mine, or use automated tools to extract content from the Service
  • Use the Service in a manner that could disable, overburden, or impair it
  • Resell access to the Service or offer it as part of a commercial service to third parties without our written consent
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access restrictions, rate limits, or payment requirements

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have engaged in any prohibited use.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AURA TECHNOLOGIES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions
  • The conduct or content of any third party on or related to the Service
  • Any employment decisions, applications, or outcomes resulting from your use of the Service

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO AURA TECHNOLOGIES LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aura Technologies LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party
  • Any User Content you provide, including claims that it is inaccurate, misleading, or infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Any resume, cover letter, or other material you create using the Service and submit to employers or other parties

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including but not limited to cases where you breach these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@quickresume.app or through your account settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may, but are not obligated to, delete your User Content and account data after termination. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in the State of Delaware.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

13. Changes to Terms

Aura Technologies LLC reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to the new terms taking effect, such as by posting a notice within the Service or sending an email to the address associated with your account.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aura Technologies LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral.
